Francisco Polo

Born in Valencia in 1981, Francisco Polo has a Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Law from ESADE Business School (Ramon Llull University). He has a postgraduate degree in International Studies and Diplomacy from the Barcelona Centre for International Studies (University of Barcelona).

Mr Polo created Actuable, the Spanish startup with the fastest growth in users ever—in only 18 months it rose from 40 to 2,500,000 users. Its success led him to merge it with change.org, the world’s largest petition platform, with hundreds of millions of users, where he was Director for Spain until 2017. In 2016 he was awarded the Emprendedor del Año [Startup Entrepreneur of the Year] Prize. 

Francisco Polo was Secretary of State for Digital Advancement from June 2018 to January 2020.

In January 2020, Francisco Polo was appointed High Commissioner for Spain Entrepreneurial Nation.
